New York's Highest Rated Golf Courses
Robert Napior has served as managing member and co-owner of Deployed Resources in Rome, New York, since 2001. When not meeting the various commercial and industrial needs of clients throughout the United States, Robert Napior enjoys staying active by playing golf.
According to Golf Digest, New York State’s leading golf course for 2017-2018 is Shinnecock Hills Golf Course in Southampton. The 7,450 yard, par 70 course dates back to 1892, making it one of the oldest courses in the country, though the facility has been updated as recently 2012. The world-class course ranks No. 4 in the United States and has been selected to host both the 2018 and 2026 US Open tournaments.
Southampton is also home to National Golf Links of America, the state’s second-most highly rated course, and Sebonack Golf Course, which comes it at No. 8 on the list. New York’s five finest courses are rounded out by Winged Foot Golf Course West in Mamaroneck, Fishers Island Club, and Friar’s Head Golf Club in Baiting Hollow.
