Four of the Best Golf Courses in the Northeast

Robert Napior, managing member of Deployed Resources, headquartered in Rome, New York, is fond of golfing in his spare time. The Northeast is filled with excellent golf courses for those of all skill levels, giving golfers like Robert Napior many opportunities to enjoy this sport.

While it can be difficult to choose, here are four of the best golf courses in the Northeast:

1. Fishers Island Club, Fishers Island, New York. The history of this gorgeous course dates back more than 80 years, but it has stayed off the radar for most. Sitting on an island reachable by small plane or ferry, players get a view of Long Island Sound from every hole.

2. Wachusett Country Club, West Boylston, Massachusetts. For those who want sweeping mountain views and an affordable game, this is the perfect course. At certain times, 18 holes can cost as little as $20.

3. Merion Golf Club-East Course, Ardmore, Pennsylvania. Even though this course may seem tiny compared to many in the area, it remains rigorous. For those who want a real challenge, Merion offers that as well as lots of golf history.

4. Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg, New Jersey. Offering something for golfers and their families, this state-of-the-art resort only an hour out of New York City offers green mountain views, restaurants and nine-hole courses perfect for relaxation.
